INDIA COUTURE WEEK, 24 JULY – 31 JULY, 2024

India Couture Week, an annual event hosted by the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), is a highlight of India’s high-end luxury fashion industry. The event showcases the best couture designs from the country, blending traditional craftsmanship with modern styles. Renowned designers present their exquisite collections on the runways, creating dynamic works of art and creativity. The Fashion Design Council of India, a not-for-profit organization, aims to further the business of fashion in India and ensure its sustainable growth. It promotes and nurtures over 400 members, including fashion and accessory designers, professionals, educational institutions, and corporations, representing the best in Indian fashion.

FDCI’s calendar of events includes the bi-annual Lakme Fashion Week for Autumn-Winter in March and Spring-Summer in October, held in Mumbai and New Delhi. It also hosts India Couture Week, the country’s premier fashion event, every year in July, held in New Delhi. Additionally, the Council collaborates with the Textile Ministry, the Commerce & Industry Ministry of the Government of India, as well as other countries and organizations to host fashion and textile-related events and initiatives. This collaboration fosters opportunities for FDCI members across India and abroad.
India Couture Week is an influential event in the world of haute couture as it not only introduces new trends but also pays homage to the elaborate detailing and rich cultural legacy of Indian fashion.
